This is  a new year and promises to be an exciting one.   We start every January with a Soup to Nuts tradition of serving comfort food at the Yardley Antique Show. The kitchen of Yardly Community Center becomes our little cafe for two days. Each year we look forward to many familiar faces stopping by and enjoying items like butternut squash soup, black bean chili and baked apples.

Weddings and house parties have started for the year and many of you are calling to book parties for later in the season.

February brings to mind two things. One is hibernation and relaxation.   The other is time to take stock and make plans for the coming year. Last year we learned and enjoyed Farm to Table dinners and working with local farmers.  This year we plan to continue.

Last year everyone had to consider the economy and find ways to concentrate on simplicity and value.   I think everything that comes our way is a learning experience.  Whether we wish to go all out or continue to simplify, lets talk.

I welcome hearing from each of you.  Let me know your thoughts and what you'd like to see happen for the new year.

We will work with you to make any event wonderful no matter what it is!

Business Card Exchange

Continuing our quest to work with local farmers, Soup to Nuts will be creating hors d'oeuvres using the ingredients of some local farms for a Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce business card exchange hosted by Superior Woodcraft.  This will be held at 160 N. Hamilton Street, Doylestown on Thursday, February 18 from 5:00 to 7:00. All business and media organizations, as well as local chamber members, are invited to attend. The Locavore concept is growing rapidly because it lies at the core of the 'buy local' movement, and we are fortunate to live in an area that is rich and diverse in agriculture as well as industry.

Let's talk.

 Want something else

Some people come to us because of our innovative vegetarian or vegan menus.  Some find specialties like our roast tenderloin of beef the best they ever had.  Some call because we work with local farmers. A party with heavy hors d'oevres may be a good way to make the winter fun.  Have us plan a small exclusive dinner party or something more casual.  Maybe a progressive dinner in your neighborhood? Any party big or small, call us.   Ready to think picnic?Soup to Nuts gets to the heart of the matter when planning and catering dinner parties, gathering for, business events, weddings or any occasion that comes up.
